INFLUENCERS is a short documentary that explores what it means to be an influencer and how trends & creativity become contagious today in music and fashion.

Directed by Paul Rojanathara and Davis Johnson, the film is a Polaroid snapshot of New York influential creatives (advertising, design, fashion and entertainment) who are shaping today’s pop culture.

I totally agree that Jay-Z is definitely an Influencer and I refuse to agree that Kanye is part of this group because of his ego trip. Yeah, I said it.

Every designer in any industry should know how ink is made.

Now you know. And knowing is half the battle. Yo Joe.

For you, Harry Potter nerds.

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His giggle is contagious; I started giggling as well!!

Ummm wow. Just amazing what you can do with paper.

My cousin bought me an origami-a-day calendar, one of the coolest Christmas presents I have ever gotten. I brought it work so that I can start my day with making something by hand because I’m constantly on the computer… all. day. long. Even when I’m taking a break… I have to surf (on the interwebz*)

Eventually, I had to stop because once I started to progress, the creations were getting intricate and needed more time to make them. I can really use “company time” to make origami that’s not work-related…. or can I? Hmmmm…

Anyway, enjoy!!

Everyone knows the Old Spice commercial (Smell like a Man, Man).

Grover’s got his own rendition for Smell like a Monster.

I saw this from a friend who posted it up on google+. Who misses the 90’s? After watching this, I definitely do.

  1. Singers actually sang without autotune*
  2. There were more catchier songs… now, there’s guilty pleasure songs.
  3. NO AUTOTUNE (unless it was super minimal and not used excessively; it’s was a tool back then, not something to disguise someone’s crappy singing voice)

*I’m pretty sure no autotune was used in this video. They all sang great!!

I’ve always wondered how inks were made. We all know to mix colours but how do you actually get the stuff to actually mix it (did that make sense?)

A Toronto-based production company (Vepo Studios) that specializes in creative and documentary for the web recently produced a documentary style video for The Printing Ink Company. An interesting video for designers, or anyone who loves pantone or just the raw CMYK and wonders where they came from. In the video, head inkmaker Peter Welfare explains the story of How Ink is Made, one that is as much a craft as a science.

I don’t like using paper plates when I eat pizza. I need an actual ceramic plate or I’m fine with using a paper towel / napkin.

Eco Inc. people are smart. Bring on the Green Box!

I’m not a morning person but what a wonderful idea! Although, I would question how long the milk has been sitting on the table.

This just makes me want to be part of a dragonboat team again. I miss paddling.

You can tell that the Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate) was the sweep instead of a paddler when she was on a dragonboat team. Totally lost the rhythm at one point but it was fun watching both of them.

And aren’t they cute at the end? It looked like Kate was trying to push Will in the water or something!!! And Will trash talking at the end? And hugs hugs hugs for just each other!!! Awesome…  just the cutest couple!

Lainey Gossip’s got some great photos!! Here are some links:

Check out Kate’s expression when Will was trying to take a shot at the net… they are so into it and clearly, enjoying their time during this trip!

YES YES YES!!!! I have to see this when it comes out!!!!!!

I used to watched The Muppet Show, the Muppet Babies, and Fraggle Rock all the time when I was young. I have Season One of The Muppet Show and I think it really wasn’t made for kids but for adults who were high because it’s just so… weird. You’d think that people these days are weird but back then, they must’ve been out of their minds to think/write/produce scenes for these types of shows.

Oh and I can’t forget Sesame Street. I’ve always wanted to play with that dog!!!
